Polk Monitor 10's versus Polk RTA 11T's
I just purchased a set of Polk Monitor 10's that I really love. Only problem is some real low end recordings are too heavy on the bass for these speakers. Otherwise and with most of my records they sound great. There is a pair of RTA 11T's for sale near me that I am interested in. I haven't listened to them yet. Plan on doing that tomorrow. I'm just curious about the drivers and set up with these RTA 11T's. Will the midrange still be as good as the Monitor 10's? I can't find any specs and/or reviews on the RTA's. There's plenty of info about the Monitor 10's but I can only find mention of the RTA's in these forums. Does anybody know how these speakers compare and if its worth it to buy the RTA's for the added bass or not?

I'd take the RTA 11's over the Monitor 10's.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to check em out tomorrow and decide if I buy them. From there I have to figure out if Im going to sell or keep the 10's for a secondary listening station. I'm new to this forum and new to Polk speakers. So far I like what I hear from the older Polk speakers anyway. I appreciate your feedback and any other feed back that may come. Do you know where I can find the specs on the RTA's?

I would say the 11s would be better as well, but you should keep the 10s to! They are both very fine speakers. I don't know your level of knowledge, but just wait until you decide to do the x over, and(or) the RDO upgrades on them(11T)! THEN, you will see what great things they can really do. If you don't know how, don't worry. There are a lot of people on here that can walk you through it, or even do it for ya:) Welcome to the club!Sony 40" LCD
