Dayton 15" Reference HO Sub?

Ok I decided I need a new replacement sub. The box from my current sub is perfectly fine and is why I just want to replace the driver. Eventually I will build a new and better box for it but right now I just don't have the time. Yes I have box building skills, I have built many sub enclosures for auto throughout the years and know how to use tools:D I haven't lost any fingers yet and plan to keep it that way:p;) I already have some plans in mind on what I will build. Any hoot, my question is have any of you had any experience with this Dayton sub? I researched many subs and this one seemed from the reviews and others around the net as a good sub. I used their speaker guide and this one suits my current enclosure perfectly, and so does the price! And even better yet my fiance gave me the go ahead to buy it if I want it:eek: Geez I feel bad about saying she will kill me on some other threads if I buy any more speakers, she is absolutely amazing for putting up with my ****:o Also this is replacing a 10 year old sub. So any opinions would be greatly appreciated, Thank you in advance, LB!

Thanks for the quick reply! I decided what the hell, if I don't like it I can always return it. Plus my fiance said she's buying it as my early birthday present for this month:eek: I didn't even know Partsexpress is here in Ohio:eek: so my sub should get here very quickly.:D Some pics and thoughts on the sub hopefully soon to follow:)I love animals, they're delicious!

if your amp has the power for it you will be surprised I'm guessing.

Well I got the new sub today:D But it doesn't clear the 2 ports I have in the enclosure:( Well looks like I;m gonna be building that new box for it earlier than I thought. Time to come up with some ideas and go shopping for supplies, I'll post pictures along the way of the build. I'm definitely building a box tuned to a lower frequency than the previous enclosure:DI love animals, they're delicious!

Just got home from buying supplies. I decided I'm gonna go for a front firing sub this time as my old cv was down firing. I'm gonna be building it out of some real purdy and nice quality birch:D Hopefully I can get started on it in the morning.I love animals, they're delicious!
