I recently purchased a pair of monitor 10's. I think they are the series 2, but not sure how to tell for sure. The sticker on the back just says monitor 10, no a or b designation. Anyway, they didnt come with stands, and I was trying to find a pair. Are these still offered by polk? If not, does anyone know where to find them, or a comparable pair of stands that are the same height and angle? Thanks.

If you are handy, here is a DIY link with parts list and PDF drawings. It will at least give you a reference for angles if you go shopping. Good luck!

Thanks. I probably wont get around to making my own. If anyone does have some to get rid of, I would be interested. Or if you know a brand of stands that are similar in height and angle, That would be very helpful

    Polk doesn't have them.

You can try posting a want to buy ad in the "wanted" section of the forum.

Ive got one up already. Thanks though. I think I might just have to find some other stands. I was just trying to find some similar stands that might be for sale out there.

Yeah, they can be hard to come across.

Luckily, I managed to track down a pair of original stands when I got my 7A's.:)

If you're patient, I'm sure something will pop up.

That's partially because the PolkStands were purpose built for the Polk Monitors, rather than being a "universal" type stand for any speaker. They utilize a specific angle, in order to create an extremely cheap(though fairly effective) form of time alignment. They also serve the purpose of angling the tweeters slightly upward, to make the speakers seem larger than they really are.

I'd imagine you could find something fairly similar out there...but most modern speakers are of a much different design than the Monitor 7/10. Stands like the original PolkStands aren't really usable with most modern day "bookshelf" speakers.

If you can't find a pair of originals, your best bet would be to make a pair, or have a pair made by someone. The stands do make a very appreciable increase in sound quality, so it's well worth finding/building some.
