Hey everyone. Its been awhile since i posted on here. I have moved to a new house and have set up my system in the new living room. Almost instantly i noticed i have to turn up the volume about 20db higher to get the same volume as got in my previous house. I am going to list some differences in the rooms and i would like if someone could let me know which ones would be contributing to the "less" volume in the new place.

Old room: laminate floor, 8 ft ceiling, 11' x 17' dimensions. Solid wall behind gear.

New room: carpet, 9 ft ceiling, 13.5' x 15.5' dimension. Wall with "window" type look through to kitchen behind gear.
Also... the nearest plug is wired so that the power can be turned off and on to it by a switch on the wall. Not sure if this would contribute or not.

Just wondered if these differences could warrant the approx 20db (on volume knob) difference from the old room to the new. If not then i have to look at possible equipment damage of some sort during the move.

Ps. We used to watch movies comfortably at 60 - 65 on volume. Now we need it to be set to 80. 100 being max.
