Is there a thread anywhere? Pics? On what Mr. Polk's set up is like? Interested to see what he listens to these days. I just picture a large anechoic dimly lit man cave with every vintage Polk model ever made and stack of amps and stuff.:p Just curious....

    Bose Wave radio.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

I believe he has a pair of LSi9's. Maybe someone who actually knows can chime in.

He has LSi 9's SDA's (4) of them side by side for the front stage with a special hand wired SDA x-over board. A couple of in floor subs and older badass Threshold mono blocks. I believe if you go to the showcase and click on PF 2008 there are some pics.

I believe his LSi9's converted to SDA configuration was powered with Marantz gear. Upstairs he had LSi9's powered by Threshold mono-blocks for the 2 ch system.

I guess those photo's didn't make it to the final showcase. There's only two at Matt's house and none are of gear. Someone here has some photo's, I know because I've seen them. Maybe search Polk Fest 08 in the main forum.

thats awesome, I've always wondered what he used. I'm just curious what processor he's using to duplicate the SDA affect with those LSI's. I'm still a noob in regards to anything for the signal processors like those that will do that.

and the pics make me want to go to polk fest even more!

They gave out Omega, Movado, and Rolex pieces!? That's pretty sweet.

Just wondering, what's Polk Audio's average yearly revenue around?

Woah! That's sweet. I'd love to find out some more about how he's getting the SDA effect through the LSi9's! What kind of digital signal processor would you need to use to do that?

I really like the idea of an LSi/SDA!!!

I think Polk needs to start marketing a kit to turn your LSi's into modern day SDA's!!!:D

If anyone's got any more info on his LSi/SDA setup, I'd love to hear it!

IIRC, in discussions with Matt it was a combination of passive and active components. A one off for sure. It took 8 years to develop the Surround Bar 360 because technology had to catch up. The DSP algorithms for the 360 are incredible. I'm quite sure that technology and passive technology were used in MP's own personal system.
