Well, it looks like I am going to replace this sony receiver. Im scared to death about buying anywhere that isn't brick and morter the only acception being crutchfield. Crutch is a fantastic online vendor, but they do not carry the elite series. Where would you gentlemen direct me too. I have spent all day reading "epinion" horror stories about small time companies like "crazy eddies". Is there anyone out there you trust?

I would go here, They sold me a Pioneer elite vsx 49 txi for just a little over half what it would cost. Email them and they will reply with a price from Authorize Dealer. That's what sold me.

I think Crutchfield is the most reliable, and safest IMO. Its a shame that they don't carry, and overprice the Elite series for us consumers tho'.....

I bought my Sony ES, from www.etronics.com , check and see about the warranty restrictions for the particular brand before buying from a E-Tailer.

Just FYI, Sony honors the 5 year warranty on the ES class, regardless of retailer.

Cool VX, they are great for prices. They honor warranties up to 30 days, after that its manufacturer time. No problem with ES tho' so no big deal.

The only place I have ever found to honor warranties, 100% in house, has been Crutchfield. You found any others?
