(4) SL2000's from SDA 2.3's

Up for sale are (4) SL 2000's from SDA SRS 2.3's. They are in perfect working condition. I am keeping two for another project. They all have a manufacture date of Dec 8 , 1988. In a perfect world it would be nice to have them stay a "matched" set of 4.

They will be shipped in boxes designed for tweeters with cut outs for the dome.

$ 25 a piece plus shipping to the lower 48.

    Tony,

    I don't mean to highjack this thread, but I assume you replaced
    these SL2000 tweeters in your SDA SRS 2.3's with RDO's. If so,
    I would be interested in your evaluation of the comparison between
    the two different tweeeters in your 2.3's. Could you post that info?

    Hey Dennis,

    That is in fact the case.

    First of all I am a guy that likes treble. What I was mistaking for treble was, in my opinion, a ringing noise that the 2000's had.

    To me the diffence was not a huge one, especially for $300. The RDO's make the speakers sounds less like speakers and more natural. A good choice IMO if you have the $$$$$$. I also didn't like the look of the RDO's but it is growing on me.

    The XO's will be done sometime in the near future and I assume that the RDO's will shine even more with that upgrade.



    Damn Dennis, this isn't helping selling my 2000's. LOL :)

    I received the SL2000s today. EXCELLENT transaction! :):):)

    I, also, plan to upgrade the X/Os from my SRS 2.3s this year.
    I've upgraded my 2-B X/Os with Sonicaps, Solens & Mills and
    it made a big difference in the sound quality (as described by
    many previous posts).

    I"ve been resisting the urge to install RDO's in the 2-Bs as I
    too like treble and have no objection to the sound of SL2000s.

    Let us know how you like your 2.3s when the X/Os are upgraded.
