I just started building my first two channel system, and so far I have an Adcom GTP-450, a Sony TAN-330ES and a pair of Monitor 10Bs, just listening to the tuner so far and all I have to say is wow. Just wondering what direction to take next.

A decent Vinyl setup, or a good CD/DVD-A/SACD player. Vinyl is generally the cheaper media, but you have to do some leg work to find it, and find what you are looking for. The digital formats, I believe, have more of a variety of of stuff from the '90s to present.

take a right at the light, that's the direction I would go with itPolkFest 2012, who's going>?

Congrats sir, 2 channel is where its at. I would definately look for a new source next, probably a good CD player, but don't count vinyl out . .Home TheaterRTiA5 - CSiA6 - FXiA6 - PSW650 - Pioneer Elite SC-55 - Carver AV-505 - Sony 46" 120Hz - Monster HP 2400 - Xbox 360 - Playstation 32 ChannelPolk RTA 15TL - Harman Kardon HK3485 - HK DVD48 - Signal Cable IC's and speaker cables

Sweet!! 2 channel is where it's at IMO!!
To reiterate the others points...I'd definitely look into a new source next.
Vinyl is sweet, but your best bet would probably be a decent CD player. SACD playback is a big plus. There are plenty of universal players out there that sound great as 2 channel sources. I'm using a Denon 2910, and it sounds great. It sounds even better when it's running through my DAC though. The nirvana inducer-

Put together a music PC. It will give you access to the unlimited world of digital music without a laser. Plus, playback/bit rates are the unlimited (so to speak).

The guys are right. But though Vinyl is cheap because few use that format and most have given theirs to a Goodwill, the price of a good turntable is not so cheap and most of the vinyl aficiandos also spend 100s on strange looking devices that 'clean' vinyl.
Remember Vinyl loves dust and static electricity..and that you're 'always' fighting a losing battle against these regardless of whether you keep your records in a vacuum sealed chamber that orbits the earth. Surface noise...is TOUGH to beat--no ifs, ands or buts about it. If it were really easy to exhile surface noise from vinyl--the CD would have never caught on.
Now I'm not saying that vinyl does not have that nice warm musical sound. It does. But you have to be this side of 'neurotic' to be able to keep your vinyl in any reasonably playable shape. I say this because I really, really really get disturbed by surface noise and not because I think CDs are better..they're not.
But a quality SACD/CD player would be my first choice for an upgrade. Because a good SACD is almost like vinyl--and guess what...? No dust or static noises, etc.

LPs wise yes . . . hardware and accessories NO WAY Jose'. I'm not trying to discourage the OP from vinyl, far be it for me, a vinyl guy, to do so. -

With the 'neurosis' comes the ability to minimize surface noise to almost zero on LPs! Besides, unless you get a really good CD player the digital glare is worse than the vinyl surface noise. IMHO of course. -
Thanks for all the suggestions, I really do like the vinyl idea, but will probably start with a good universal player. Someday I hope to move on to tube gear, I know more money and my wife already wants to kill me.****Home Theater****
