    ^^what he said^^

Can you take a look at the back of the speakers and tell me which side the red connectors are on?
Also can you look on the back and tell me what type of interconnect it is, blade/blade or pin/blade? Is has to be pin/blade since you have the 1.2's On the sticker there's a little circle above the binding post connectors. Within that circle is either a very small circle and rectangle just a couple millimeters below it, or there are two rectangles. If there are two small rectangles then you have the wrong label on your speakers.

So far every set of the 1.2 models that I have seen have a label on the back that belongs to another model of speaker (the original SRS) and not the 1.2. Notice that the label shows a blade/blade interconnect connection yet your 1.2's have a pin/blade interconnect. When Polk sold the 1.2's they continued to use the SRS labels in order to deplete their stock. Unfortunately the binding post wiring is the opposite of what it should be for the 1.2. The easy fix would be to just simply ignore the label on the back and just switch both of the red plastic binding post nuts with both of the black binding post nuts. Unless you make this correction, the speakers will be out of phase.
    Hope this helps.

As far as I know only the 1.2's had the wiring issue. I've never heard of any wiring problem with the 1.2 TL's.

I had issues with my TL's as well. It was a **** trying to figure them out on my own. Thanks to the work done here by DK and the rest, I was able to sort them out.

I had no wiring issues with my 1.2TLs wiring and have no recollection of any being posted here unless it was a homegrown wiring job.
