Rear Speaker Placement in Vaulted Ceiling?

I'm about to install my surrounds and rears (LCi-RTS FX) in my dedicated HT and I've got a question on placement. I have 2 rows of seating and the rear row is against the back wall. The room has a vaulted ceiling, so I have the option of either placing the rear speakers on the back wall or up, in the angled portion of the ceiling. The room is only used for movies/TV. If it makes any difference, I will eventually be adding a riser for the back seating. I've attached a photo of my setup.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is this the rear surrounds in a 7.1 setup or the surrounds in a 5.1 setup?

It's the rears for a 7.1 setup.

I would say the back wall. Do you have the speakers already? A nice set of dipoles would be great back there.

Yeah, they are on the UPS truck right now... I've got the LCI-RTS105s for my fronts and the LCi-RTS-C for the center, so I wanted to stay with the RTS series for the surrounds/rears too.

I would agree with the back wall since it is a 7 channel set up.

Place them next to the light fixtures. ( the red boxes)

I'm going against the trend and suggesting the higher location. You're seats appear to have relatively high backs, and the higher location is conveniently angled downward toward the audience. It may produce a better effect. Just something to consider.

mdaudioguy - That's along the lines of what I was thinking, the angled portion of the ceiling will be directed more towards the seating rather than over it. I would think that would help with the effect, especially for the back row.

Does anyone have any thoughts on why this wouldn't be the case?

Thanks for the input everyone! I ended up placing them in the wall, but because of how close the studs were on the outside of the lighting, I had to place them closer together on the inside of the lights.
