I purchased an Audiosource Amp Three from Jerry (hydrostream) a couple of weeks ago....Ok...i know Audiosource isnt on the top of anybodys list but its what I got so anyways, its rated at 150wpc I am now driving my R50's with this amp and they really sound nice in 2ch mode, I was thouroughly impressed with what I believe is an underated speaker. Just thought I would share.

Totally agree. I couldn't believe how good my R50's sounded when I hooked them up to an Adcom 545. VERY underrated speaker, especially when given some power. Part of the reason they are an underrated speaker is that they are an entry level speaker usually driven by entry level gear (often an entry level AVR). I know that's how I got started in Polk and it's been a money pit ever since:D

I haven't heard a Polk speaker that I thought sounded terrible. Can't say the same for Sony, Klipsch or Bose. With Polk, it seems if you have the right source and amplification, the speaker can sound good.
