Why did you have to go and post those tempting pics, Ron-P? I didn't even know that there was an in-wall with the trilaminate dome until today. Looked on ebay and sure enough, two pairs available. Fate? Maybe. Loss of self-control? Definetely.

Well, they are supposedly unused but open box. I paid $125 for each pair plus $30 for shipping and insurance.

No more temptations, stop telling me about your great deals, help. . .

Oh well, I'll be happy to hear them with the 400i and 800i's. My wife, well, she hates bulky audio stuff so maybe the cosmetics of the new surrounds will compensate for the money I just blew.

I just installed mine today, they sound fab-u-low-sooo! They really clean up the the back, much better than having giant boxes hanging on the walls.

I guess us three bought all 3 pairs from him. Ron, did you put insulation behind yours?

Ron-P, can you tell me how they sound in comparison to the 25i? I am currently using those until I get the ab755's and am curious as to how the two compare. How about some pics, too?

I'm getting worried, I bought two pairs from "sharonem" on ebay last friday, have emailed her/him twice but have not heard back.

Did y'all buy from the same person?

Yep, that's where we bought em. I thought he only had 3 pairs though. My speaks are in transit. I think Ron had a little trouble getting ahold of the seller at first too.

My walls are all insulated with R-13. I did cut away the insulation right behind the speakers.

Yes, that is who I bought from. Not the best communicator, but was great to deal with otherwise.

They sound nearly identical, but are a tad heavier in the mid-bass. Also, the sound stage greatly improved going from on-walls to in-walls. The AB755's gave me 2'+ of additional sound field. Pics will be coming, did not have time to take any last night. I'll try and get some posted in the next few days.

"Sharonem" still has not gotten back to me. Did you eventually call him or did he just email? I've sent three emails, no sign of life.

I sure hope that it works out, I know that I'll love having two pairs of in-walls to complete a 7.1 setup. Right now it is two 25i's and two R10's. Bulky, unmatched, and similar to Ron's place the rear sound field is limited.

    Tim,

What is the status of your order. Did you send money yet? If so, when? He, or she, did not respond to any of my fluff emails, in other words, he only responded when he received my check and the speakers were on the way with the tracking #.

Here is a pic of the install. New lighting is being istalled as is new crown molding, thus the torn up look.

Ok, I finally just called and got ahold of him. He said that he'd sent two emails, but I never received them. I had purchased two pairs, but he said that he only had one available - wonder who got the other pair? So he sold one to wallstreet while the auction was still going on. I'm glad that a polk brother got one, but a little shady on the dealer's part.

Sent payment today, can't wait to get them. Ron, your speakers look great. I feel that surrounds become much more effective when they are heard more than they are seen. Wallsteet, enjoy yours and let us know when you get them.

Well, it's good to hear that contact has been made. Communication is not this guys best attribute but at least you've got a pair on the way.

In my tight room, these inwalls do sound better than the RT25i's. The room fills with sound much better now. Less localized is a good way to put it.

I thought he said he only had 3 pairs total. Sorry I snuck in the back door, but I needed the trilams to match my ls90's upfront. Can't beat the price either. Mine are scheduled to show up tomorrow. Don't have an amp to drive em, but they should look good. I thought I saw another pair on ebay for $200. I don't think they'll sell for that amount though. The market for these guys is pretty small.

No hard feelings at all. The seller had two pairs listed and just assumed that they wouldn't sell. He then sold one to you off-site the day of or before the auction ended. I didn't bid on them until about an hour before the auction closed, then he realized that he had jumped the gun.

No big deal, I may shoot for the newly listed ones if they don't sell for 199.

    tj,

Sometimes Sellers selling new goods are slow to contact because they don't have the item "in stock", but a have a source that can get their hands on them fairly quickly.

If the Seller had three pairs, there are probably more coming...

Set up your favorite search page for ebay to mail you alerts for new AB755 listings.

You can also set up the seller as a favorite seller...

Yep. Actually there's a broken corner on each speaker. I filed a claim with UPS. Just went through this with Dr. Spec when they damaged the speakers I sent him. I hooked the speakers up and they sounded fine.

Bummer about the damage. Mine showed up with a crunched box but all the contents were fine.

Good luck with UPS and getting some cash back.
