So frustrating

Well... as a couple of you know, or may have caught, i had $900-$1000 in parts stolen off of one of my cars. (Wastegate, intercooler w/ piping, blow-off valve)

Obviously, that chaps my ****.

Oh well. Live and learn. (car alarm in my future.)

This has SOMEWHAT been a blessing in disguise, though. I wasn't 100% happy with the setup that was on the car, so i've taken the oppurtunity to make some upgrades.

Enter my current rant:

I ordered a bunch of parts from an "Ebay" company called CX Racing. Normally, i stay away from Ebay companies, due to the reputation of producing crappy low quality knock-off parts. But, i'm only ordering piping, clamps, and couplers from them, so i'm not real worried about it.

But answer me this? WHY would you put that you have two examples of a certain kit available, let me buy one, and then two days later send me an email saying that you don't have the color couplers that were supposed to come with the kit? That's fine... change my red couplers to black. No biggie, thanks for the update.

The next day: I get another email from them saying that they don't have the 90 degree "L" bend pipes, and would it be ok to substitute two standard 90 degree bends instead? Ok... now i'm starting to get a bit pissed. It wasn't ESSENTIAL that i get the "L" bends, but it would have made my setup slightly easier, not to mention the fact that i paid for them.

I spent about $200 to that company in piping, couplers, clamps, and flanges. I needed this stuff to make it to me by Saturday, because i wanted to attempt to fire the car again by Saturday afternoon. Not going to happen now. Simply because they listed availability on Ebay that they really didn't have.

The only saving grace is that their communication has been pretty good. But that doesn't help my car get running faster.

Ehhh.... Not real sure yet. I'll see if they'll credit me back some money or send the pipes they're missing along later free of charge or something.

I mean... the only fault i've got with them is not listing their availability correctly. The customer service has been good. We'll see how fast they ship everything.

Normally, i'd be fine with it all, simply because of the communication, i'm just on a time crunch right now. I'll order from them again, just maybe not when i've got a close deadline.

I will definitely take you up on that offer when i turn my attention back to the Celica, i appreciate that.

Right now i've just gotta track down a used Greddy Blow-off valve semi-locally so i can get my pipe welded. :mad:

Yeah.... they're gonna get trashed in their feedback. I just received the shipment.

It's STILL short by 4 items.

Two 2.5" silicon hump hoses, and two 2.5" t-bar clamps.

Ugh. The clamps, i can live without. The hump hoses, i really needed, and i haven't been able to find them locally. I just demanded a refund for those items, and informed them that i will be ordering from Siliconintakes.com from now on.

Update:

The seller has since given me two bogus USPS tracking numbers for the missing parts. They shipped me the first package via Fedex, so i don't know WTF they're doing.

The seller has cut all communication with me after April 20th after i requested a refund for the parts, since i ended up just ordering them from another company and getting them within 3 days of ordering.

My initial order was made on March 23rd with this company, and this is ridiculous.

I filed a claim with paypal, and paypal closed it saying that the seller provided proof of shipping. (They went off the original Fedex tracking number) It's pretty obvious that Paypal didn't give a ****, and also obvious that they didn't read my message that i wrote in the first place.

I just sent paypal another email asking why they closed the claim without actually reading a single thing that i wrote, and will probably call them today. I'm going to get that money back, and i don't care who i piss off in the process.

Update: The seller has refunded me $20.

I'm not real sure where they got that number, since they owe me $34. Looks like i'm back to fighting with them again.

Did you pay via your credit card through Paypal? I never keep a Paypal balance or pay with my linked checking account. Whenever I have an issue like this, I skip Paypal & go straight to disputing it with my credit card company. I've never gotten screwed this way.

I don't have credit cards, fortunately/unfortunately.

I paid with funds i already had in the paypal account.

I'm planning on just borderline harrassing them until i get my remaining $14. It's the principle, really... my initial order was placed on March 23rd, and it's just been a battle every step of the way. Harsch contrast to the other company i've been dealing with, siliconeintakes.com. I've been blown away by their level of service so far. I never paid for the faster shipping or anything, and anything i order from there hits my door in 3 days, and they're in Colorado.
