This word comes up as being quite important to the end result of component combinations/good sound.I'm wondering IF one were to have an amp, preamp,cd player etc. from the same company would that provide a better chance of synergy?My 2 ch. rig sounds very good to me and is a mix from several different companies.In other words I've selected the" better" (not the best) product offerings from those various companies.

You would think but not all the time at least not in my case, I too have found sometimes a mix of many sounded best...as I await the arrival of a new amp, new ic's and speaker cables ones wishes all will sound as expected...either way a fun journey and I had learned years of info in a very short time thanks to the knowledge of others here and on other audio boards.......... -
