For Sale is one DB-8 moving magnet Phono preamp. This is made by a small company called DB Systems. I've had this for about 2 years. I bought it to use between my Technics and my computer for dubbing vinyl. It has worked excellent for that purpose. This is really a sleeper of a phono stage. I've had some of the others like the Project Phono Box and the Parasound. This DB-8 is better sounding in my opinion with quieter background and less grain.
The item is in great working condition. A few minor nicks that could probably be touched up easily with a sharpie. There is an captive wall wart type power supply.

There is quite a bit of praise for this on the net if you look around. Soundstage did a favorable review of the MC version, which is essentially the same but with higher gain. New price on this is $165. I'm asking $70+actual shipping, which shouldn't be much since it will be less than 5lbs packed.

Here is a link to the Soundstage review for those who are googly challenged:

This is really a great step up for anyone who is still using the built in phono preamp on their receiver and a great bargain for anyone who is just getting into vinyl and has a preamp or integrated without a built in phono stage. I think you'd have to spend upwards of $200+ to get anything remotely close in sound quality. -
Bump. Anyone at $60+shipping?

A bump for the weekend.

Another bump. Nobody wants to try this excellent entry level phono preamp?

I've heard this phono pre and $60 is a steal!!! It has just the right amount of gain for most every MM cartridge out there.

And it has uncommonly excellent RIAA accuracy, with each unit adjusted to be within .04dB from 20-20kHz. -

Whoa I've never seen that spec so good! -
OK, the DB-8 is now sold. Thanks Tyler. Hope you enjoy it.
