Acoustics

I didn't see a particular place for this but was wondering what most people do for acoustical treatment, if any. I don't use any myself but I want thick HT curtains and found some that also claim to provide acoustic improvements and that got me looking into looking at other acoustic treatments. Now I want some but Im very skeptical of paying out money to get someone to tell me where to place the treatments it seems if you put them on the walls your fine..What else could they tell you?? Maybe one on the ceiling. Why would you spend 2-4K for someone to tell you that for an existing room? BTW, that price includes no product.:eek: Gik seems to have the most reasonable approach out there but Im debating doing this myself or trying to find an "expert" to come do it for me.

Your decision depends on how dedicated you are to the hobby. It also depends on where you are in your audio journey. Let me ask you this.....what are you displeased with in your audio reproduction?
