Center speaker difference?

Afternoon All

I currently have two Polk Audio RTi A9's - and was wondering whether adding the center CSi A6 would make a considerable difference to my listening experience.

I do plan on adding this, as well as the surrounds and subwoofers at the end of this year (when building is complete, and I have space).

I currently only have space to add the center - and was wondering if it would make a noticeable difference to my listening experience.

I use the system for an even distribution of music and movies.

Regards!

IMHO, yes, a center channel will make all the difference in the world, esp. when it comes to movies. Something like 50-75% of all audio is formatted to play through your center channel, esp. dialogue. The A6 would make a welcome addition to your rig, esp. if you plan on making it a 5.1 before too long.

    Thanks :)

I wish - can't wait for my 'cinema' room to be complete - then I'll have all the space I need.

Currently using our informal lounge - which is quite large, 12x13m - but surrounded in glass doors - so no real space to setup properly.

Agree with the center. Never thought too much of it until I recently got my csi5.

    Quick questions.

1.) what's the Rear "Kickstand"? Is it a separate accessory, or is it part of the speaker.

2.) I'm currently running the RTi A9's bi-wired using QED Silver Anniversary XT Bi-Wire (inherited it from a friend about a week after he got it :D) - would it be best to get the same (non bi-wire version) for the center. I believe its a stand that you can mount on top of your tv that has a "kickstand" on the rear to support the weight of the center channel.

Yup, you are correct Sir. Don't remember the models off hand that sport that little guy, but I have seen it before.

Just finished my RTi set up that included CSiA6. For HT, definitely a must. Shop around and you can save some money when they are on sale - Newegg, etc. I added a Hsu sub followed by my rears. IMHO, add center, then sub, then rears. Good luck.

I'm not much into HT, but I still like having a center. Without it I find myself continually adjusting volume to hear dialogue.

Thanks - already got the center :)

Out of interest, whats the difference between the PRO and MicroPRO subs? The MicroPro are considerably more expensive here.

+1, i live in qatar so i have limited sub options, i have 2 RTI A9s, CSI A6,2 FXI A4s, 2 RTI A1 and 1 DSW PRO 600 , the room is 5.5 m X 8.5 m the sub is excellent, a second one will sure help, but i really recommend this sub.

next step is to order some amps, i've ordered an emotiva XPA 5, the plan is to add 2 XPA 2 or XPA 1s later on.

ur on the right path, u will not regret the final result once u've completed ur setup
