Onkyo Receiver versus Musical Fidelity Inegrated

My Musical Fidelity A1 integrated is on temporary assignment for another project I have going so I have to use my Onkyo TX-SR707 receiver for my 2 channel listening. I have it hooked up to my Marantz SA-8001 SACD and Tyler Linbrooks with MIT shotgun S2s all around. Well the lipstick on a pig saying sort of applies here. The oinker is doing a respectable job, but I can definately tell some of the "magic" is missing. The MITs helped, I tried first with some Audioquest Diamonbacks ICs and Straightwire speakers cables and it was pure hell to listen to. Things should be back to normal in a week or two. By the way, I love my Onkyo for HT, it's swell
