Found a used pair of these for sale.Pretty small and light weight...15 pounds each.Specs claim 500w/8 ohm,1000w/4ohm and they can handle a 2 ohm load!It doesen't seem realistic for such a small unit?Anyone know of or have heard these?

Ok, did some reading B&O is into this "ice technology" but it still eludes me as to how something so small can be so powerful. Is the sound really as robust as the big Krells,Levinsons, Classe etc.

Check audiogon for prices. A pair of ref1000's just sold for $1750. There's another pair for $2400. And check the version as I believe there are MK1 and MK2 versions.

The ice amps are not bad at all from the ones I heard cool running, light, had have a kick. I think pioneer also uses some of the ice stuff.

a bit high priced for the mk1
have seen them as low as 1650 used for the newer models
    I'd wait a bit
Have you looked at any of the Wyred4sound stuff?
