Just wanted to see if anyone had any input on them? There's a CL for them for 100 bucks (excellent condition he says). I know very little about them but I do have an AVR sitting around (though would prolly want an integratted)and I could setup a 2 chan. Thanks guys

Good garage speakers, somewhat of a following in vintage circles, but not very high up the food chain. The woofers have a really loose suspension, they have a sloppy bottom end. If you were looking to get into a pair, I'd feel better with you paying half the asking price.

    Cheers,

The treble is forward and grainy for sure. Lowering the rear treble pot to -3dB helps. They can sound half-way decent with a good source/material, for a garage/basement rig. I wouldn't use them in my main system. They're fun, but more of a novelty for me in the 70's mancave. I think I got mine for $99, but they are in very good shape for their 32yr old age.

Thanks guys! That answers my question perfectly, and in such a timely manner! I'll see if he wants to haggle. ;) I think I could have use for a rugged 2 chan setup. ;)

As Russ said, bass can be flabby if corner loaded--they'll tighten up fairly good if moved away from corners and rear boundries.
