DAC expert needed for suggestions.

Where is GV when I need him.He knows DACs like no other and now Im needing some help to get the full use of my DACs 96k sample ability.Camelot tech wants way too much money to upgrade the Arthur to a 24/192.Although he tells me this in an email>>
The Arthur does not upsample 44.1 to 96.

The Arthur can be updated to perform 24/192 upsampling which would mean any input connected into the Arthur will automatically be output'd to the upsampled rate of 24/192 resolution.() The upgrade to the Arthur will NOT make your Dragon redundant. While the upgrade does add additional jitter reduction, when that is combined with the Dragon's jitter reduction circuitry, clarity and resolution are further enhanced.

(b) You are correct in stating "going from 44.1 to 192 would be quite an upgrade". It really is much better than that. I'm confident in stating you will hear details on recordings you never knew were there. The noise floor on the 24/192 circuitry is 130Db!!!!

I could get one heck of a great dac on audiogon for what he asking for the upgrade.

Im wondering if a Monarchy 48/96 upsampler or a GW labs would do the trick.Or will need a 24/48 classic as well as a 48/96 upsampler.
HELP..Anyone.

    Im not looking for another DAC.I just want to get the best out of the Arthur for now.Which would be its 96k output.

    After a few emails with fred (GV),he has concluded my DAC is not a 24/96 due to the fact it uses a CS8412 chip.I imagine it will output 96k with HDCD but I cant seem to find any HDCDs Im interested in.What a shame.
    So even a 96k upsampler will not provide the 96k resolution.
    Oh well,even though it only outputs 44.1 it still sounds awsome.Much better than the adcom/Dip combo I had.And the dragon just adds to the clarity and oh so smooth upper mids and highs.Not to mention what the 20 bit resolution enhancer does.
    He did mention I should go ahead and get a Prophecy Cryo-Silver™ Reference i2s Digital Link cable to run from the dragon into the Arthur. And maybe Ill be able to find a charm II DC power supply for it to.
    Thanks all and to Fred so I didnt go and waste money on an upsampler.
