Adcom GFA-5400

So I picked up a GFA-5400 awhile ago. One of the channels is messed up. The left distortion light comes on for a second then off. The left channel then has a loud buzz that does not go away.
My question, is this worth sending to a shop to have fixed? Or should I just get another adcom amp? I don't want to put too much money into it, when it might be cheaper to get another amp.
I really know nothing about this amp. Is it any good?
I'm going to use it with a adcom GTP-550 pre and B&W 602 S3s.
