;)Okay all you Polk nuts I got a question!!! I just purchased a PSW1000 Dual 10 sub cabinet with speakers and bias wired in it! I just purchased a LT500 Elmental Designs plate amp and was wondering how the best to wire it! Should I unwire the bias from the Polk for the LT500 to be wired or won't it hurt to hookup as it! I should know this but............... DUH I feel a little stupied at moment! :rolleyes:lmao! ANY help from you is appreciated!:D

    Bias wired?

I have a PSW1000 also, had a custom steel plate made for the rear, converted it to a 'passive' subwoofer. Haven't decided what to power it with yet.

What exactly are you asking? How to wire your amp to the speakers?

    Cheers,
    Russ

Russ yes speakers to amp but my cabinet has the speakers wired to bia control on front and was wondering if leaving it hookup to speakers and installing the LT500 plate amp if it would hurt the amp with the bias it has! OH! Elemental Designs Audio has a separate external amp setup for sale! Check it out!

I gotcha now, disconnect the front controls alltogether, unless you plan on using the correct replacement amp from Polk. I disconnected them, and plan to use the Polk SWA500 when fundage allows.

Also, not sure if your PSW1000 came with any polyfill inside, but it will benefit greatly from about a half-pound of 'fill' inside, between the woofers, just don't block the port.

    Cheers,
    Russ

Russ they did come with polyfill and thanks for the info! I thought maybe I'd be better to disconnect the bias and let the LT500's bias take over! Dang thing came in such a big box that just got it thro the door! lmao! I hope this helps rattle my chest so I don't need a pacemaker! lmfao!

You HAVE to stop saying 'bias' before I put a flare gun in my mouth.
