For $20? Why not. The Fisher speakers are half decent. Nothing to write home about...but they'd make some great garage speakers or party speakers.

For $20, there's not much to lose.

My first pair of speakers when i was a young teen was a pair of Fisher 'Studio Standards', very much like these. With a bit bigger woofer as i recall. What did they get replaced by? Monitor 5B's, of course! I had those for the next 20 years. And this is what happened to those: http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73205

I wonder whatever happened to those old Fisher speakers.... DS-826's, I think.

    I agree with Curt...for a 20 I'd buy almost anything.

Some old oversized low resolution Fishers and a vintage Sansui stereo receiver...Sony CDP...got your self a listenable cheapo GARAGE system you can 'work' to!

Exactly. I wouldn't mind finding a set of Fisher Studio Standard speakers around here actually. I've got an old Fisher Studio Standard receiver that I'd like to get running and use in my garage. I still need to find a pair of speakers to use with it though.
