The thing is massive, makes my A4 look like a toy.
It also matches perfectly with my A5's. When I calibrate with my avia disc, there's the section in audio calibration that plays the pink noise in a sweeping circular motion around the 5.1, I could always here a slight difference in tone between the A5's and the Csia4. Now, it's absolutely seemless!:D

I'll post pics later

It's placed just below the screen, on the glass shelf of the tv stand. The weight is actually making me nervous with the glass.

I wouldn't worry to much, I have a glass tv stand and the glass is pretty thick. I have a CSi5 on the top shelf and it is fine. What makes me nervous is the XPA-3 and the Pioneer AVR on the bottom glass shelf. The Pioneer is fine but the XPA-3 is a freaking beast. I thought about putting some sort of support underneath it.

The last speaker I added was the CSiA6 (replaced a CS2). This speaker truly completed my new system. And it gets tons of use in our house.

    Any television watched.

    Movies? Unbelievable!

And when 'having music on' as opposed to two channel listening, it's working ... this thing is really earning its keep and performing as advertised.

Darn nice looking in its cherry suit, too.

    Congrats,

Here's a few pics of the a4 and a6 together. The a6 is on the right. ;)

The a6 barely fits under my t.v. It touches the back of the stand, and only has about 1/8 inch clearance above the speaker. That's with the little rubber feet on the speaker.

Ya, the CSI5 and the A6 are friggan beasts. The funny thing is, I upgraded from an onkyo htib and my new center is substantially larger than my old fronts, heh.

PFB, I think I'll pass on the stand, this isn't in a dedicated room, so there are aesthetic compromises. My 2 year old daughter would definately climb all over it if it was sitting out in the room. The shelf only has a support in the middle, and the power ports straddle it. The front of the speaker cabinet sits flush with my glass shelf, with the speaker angled up to the listening position. I don't think I'm losing anything as far as audio goes.

Hillman, the a6 wasn't hard to get ahold of. I posted about the sale at newegg, the past 2 saturdays they've had great sales on polk stuff. The 1st saturday, I discovered the sale at 10 p.m., but they were sold out of the a6. The 2nd saturday, I checked around 9 a.m., the sale was back on and they had pretty much everything in stock. By the end of the day, select products were sold out again, including the a6.

Agent, thanks for the tip on the shelf. I've got it sitting on it now, and I'm feeling better about it.

I am curious as to why you say that. There are no ports that are being blocked by sitting in there.

I understand that IF the back of the speaker has a large port that is too close to a wall behind it, Like a large tower butted up agains a wall. Centers are designed to be put on stands.

Todd Lee, thanks for your reply!

For whatever reason I can't get no answer why Polk wont't deliver (to sweden), dunno who to blame if it's the dealer over here or Polk ... Atleast it's not "constanly sold out" over there.

For 4 months+ the only answer I get from my dealer is "maybe next month ...". No big deal, tho. I'll survive ;)

Thanks for those pictures, I hope it sounds as "big" as it looks! Nice!

Sorry Hillman, I didn't notice you were in Sweden. Now it makes a little more sense why you are having a difficult time locating what you want.

Are you using the following as your dealer? I'm guessing yes.

    Thanks for your reply!

Yes that's my dealer ... they took my order by the end of october 2009 (!) ... And I've been patiently waiting since. :)

So yes I'm "over seas" so to speak, and I'm just trying to figure out if my dealer is just playing me around or if those Polk speakers are extremly popular and diffucult to get.

All I ever get in reply from my dealer is "maybe next month" ... :)

It seems its been very hard to find a deal on the CSi's recently -- I've been looking for a sale on the CSi A4 for like 2 months. The Cherry model isn't even listed on Newegg...

Most places that have it in stock list it at full MSRP and say their stock is low. I wonder if they are ending production of these?
