The kismet boards are nice and trhe symphonic line caps are double the size of the old...
Not to metion the silver top and bottom are awesome!

It should sound worse than the Adcom until it breaks in, I would imagine. Congrat's on FINALLY getting them back.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

I thought the same thing Tom -- but I would disagree with that statement after listening.
Although the amps are similar, they are really a completely different animal. I would say out of the box they are a bit better than my old Mono Extremes...
They are not quite as controlled as before right now - but clarity and overall SIZE of the stage - bass response and midbass punch is far better...
The amp has great pacing...
But the staging is a little wild right now
These amps will 100% surpass the old amps
I took pics of the boards and stuff - just waiting for them to arrive to my email...
But yeah - totally different animal- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Here is a pic of one of George Daniels old amps - basically same as what I had -- so you can see the differences, the pics should be in my email shortly --- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Totally post whoring in my own thread -
Not sure why but these new amps run so much hotter than the old amps -- Klaus added two rows of vent holes on the top vs. a sealed top - and they run hot while idling...
A far hotter running design...- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Here we go - here are the pics of the new amps...
There are some minor differences between the components on the black boards and the red boards -- the main difference is the new boards are double traced
The caps on the boards are far larger than the other caps...
The wirings in some places are slightly different...
And of course I had him put a silver top and front on them
Sorry for the poor quality --- cell phone pics- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -

Hehe
The sounds is pretty incredible - it is a little sloppy right now...
Height and width is surreal - if it can just clean it self up with burn in - we will be golden. But is far superior in width and height and slam than the Extremes had at full burn in ,left on for weeks - etc etc- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
I wouldn't even bother listening to any observations you have on those until you get it burned in. I know the amp I had was already broken in and still took three full days to sound right. BTW, mine had the two rows of vent holes like that. It may be part of the silver package upgrade or something.
Should I bring my Anthem and Dodd over to compare next time I visit? Hehe.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~
