SR6001 and an external amplifier

I've been looking at the Emotiva XPA-5 and I'm wondering if it would be a good amplifier for my VM series speakers. I'd be using the SR6001's pre-amp outputs. The price is right and I think I can get the wifes approval for it. Thoughts?

    I got the xpa-2 and i couldnt be happier.
    Looks great,built solid and definitely brought my speakers to life
