LS-50 reviews anyone?

got a chance to pick up a nice pr of LS-50s for $150. was gonna run them as fronts with a vega HT-10D sub that I already have. just looking for some opinions. thanks

    Welcome, bent in hell. The LS50's were part of the top of the line a few years ago. Excellent speakers and for that price it would be a steal if they are in decent condition.

    +1, what he said. I've got some that I bought new in '96 or so. Share the same drivers (just 2 less) as the famed LS90's. Very smooth mids and decent bass for a smaller floorstander. The tri lam can be a little harsh with poor recordings and/or poor amplification. For $150 in good shape, no brainer...

    Sounds like a sweet deal you got on the LS50s. I use a pair for my side surrounds and they sound great. I've got mine about 6' to each side of my listening position and you'd be surprised how much air movement comes shooting out of thet port hole and hits your face when you've got them cranked watching an action movie and the speakers hit a certain frequency,lol.
