    ANWKLO,
Can you post a full view pic of your speakers? I am wondering if someone put replaced the drivers with older generation drivers.

This is the original Peerless tweeter and MW6500 mid-driver marked Date 1 31 1979

Now the tweeter changed to SL1000 and mid-driver changed to MW6502

If your mid is dated 1979 then you need the tweeter marked 7514___ on back and made in Denmark. Very musical and more holographic then the US made one to my ear. That date is within a few days of my 10s The originals have silver backs with a couple of flat spots on the edge of the magnet housing. They come up on ebay . There are some on ebay right now marked 7514____ but they are later replacements. I have had these and they sound slightly different. The ones you need do pop up. As for the ones at Midwest speaker (which is 3 miles from me) I have zero experience with but would ask which one of the 4 different peerless did they copy? keith

MidWest said that their supplier copied the Denmark Peerless 810665 tweeter (No hole in the dome).

What are the 4 different Peerless?
    1. 7514 Denmark made(have a hole in the dome)
    2. 5514 US made (have a hole in the dome)
    3. Denmark Peerless 810665 (No hole in the dome)
    4. ?

They look like Model (Monitor) 5A's to me. The MW is surface mounted and overlaps the PR. All the Monitor 5B that I have seen have more space between the MW and PR and the MW is recesses into the face panel.

I agree i think it is a 5 or 5A. You still need 7514_____ Needs to look just like the one with the flats spots on it and be marked 7514___. OR, You can put what you want in it.

As for your other question there are 3 different US made ones.

I just leave the SL1000 to the local Polkaudio agent for their checking and if their technician can fix it.
