Anyone know about this amp? I am just getting started with HT and two channel. I am thinking about this amp for two fronts and an Adcom GSP-560 for center and rears for 5.1 set up and two channel for music? Are older amps alot of repair and maintenance? As always ,thanks, Darryl

I have this amp and have never had issues with it. Even the original meter lights still work. Mine is running a pair of Monitor 10's right now. What kind of price are you looking at paying?

Bought it tonight. Have yet to try it at home. I probly should hook up some old speakers first and turn volume all the way down. Paid $200.00 for it. Everything works but the lights for two meters. Do I just need some bulbs? And if so where do you buy such things? Do I plug this power cord into my AV reciever or is that a no-no? thanks,Darryl mmmmmmmmmmy first home theater/two channel amp! I am stoked! You betch ya..................

I have been inside mine a few times just to dust it and what not. Never really noticed where the lamps are. But I am fairly sure they are mounted somewhere inside the front panel. I am guessing you didnt remove that, just the side panels and top cover?

    Great find.;)
I owned two of them and sold one a yr. ago for 250.00 also. 165 watts of neutral sound I always thought.
There was a guy on Ebay selling the lamps and I bought 2 spares for 30.00 I think. He since came down to 20.00 a pr. I think. Search Integra and see if he still sells em.
They have to be soldered in place. Get to the older ones at the top some how and you'll have to snip the older ones out. It's not hard to do I've read over the years so don't sweat it.

There's nothing like BIG power level meters swinging to the beats!!:D
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Well then, I don't know what else to offer. If mine ever go out, and if I can find them, I have thought about going with the amber colored bulbs. When ya do find them...some pics would be cool.

I never touch the old bulbs. I have opened up my fair share of vintage equipment that uses fuses or soldered bulbs of some sort or other. But most of the time, they require significant dis-assembly, with tiny tiny tiny screws all over the place, and grain of sand lights, tight soldering where you can "mess" something up, and so on. I just don't have the "patience" or the "skills" for such tedious work. So off to my repair guy it goes and my "wallet" hates me for it!

But if you're up to those tasks. Enjoy.

On that note. Onkyo gear has been fairly consistent and decent quality since their push to produce a first class receiver in the TX-2500 and TX-4500 in order to save their company? There are a couple of "very" interesting threads that have some posts by one of the young Japanese engineers who worked on those over at AK!

    M-504...definitely a nice piece!
