Anthem Tube Pre, B&K Amp and MF Phono Pre

A restructuring of sorts going on here which leads me to make these items available for you!

Anthem Pre 2L-SE (original tubes + Philips 6922 included) The amp is silver and has a tiny silver scratch on the silver face - not even noticeable in the rack. This is a bargain of a tube pre and has remote and HT Bypass. You can control volume and switch between 2 channel and the HT Pass with this remote. So when the movie ends flip on the tunes from your seat. It also has mute, balance control, mono/stereo option and headphone input - though I never used it. Rating it a 7 to be sure but you won't be disappointed in the cosmetics. $625 + shipping

B&K Reference 4420 amp 225w@8ohm and 330@4ohm balanced and unbalanced. I purchased this on Audiogon roughly one year ago. It has some scratches on the face which weren't disclosed to me. Again I don't notice them in the rack. There might be a couple of small nicks- smaller than a "ding" I guess. To be sure I'll call it a 5. This will be the best 5 you ever bought. $425 + shipping

For $1050 you can have an instantly nice 2 channel setup with HT Pass and tubes - a bargain!

What about vinyl you ask?
Musical Fidelity Phono Pre X-LPS v3 with original packaging and manual etc. It's probably a 9 but I'm the second owner so we'll call it an 8. $275 + shipping.

I will post some pics tonight. It may take me until the weekend to get the shipping in order as I'm busy at work right now. Of course local pickup is preferred but I'll ship too. I have paypal if that works and you want to cover it. If no interest by the weekend off to Agon.

    OK, guys I know lame excuse. 1 Camera is MIA and the other is missing the card to transfer the photos.

    Why do you rate the B&k a 5? Just because of the scratches?

    According to the Scale for a 6
    may have one major scratch (over 2" long, deep enough to show metal) or a slight dent on one of the surfaces. The item must NOT have any major scratches on the front facia, but may have some nicks along the top front edge.

    I'm being conservative by calling it a 5 it's probably a 6. I don't want to mince if a scratch is major or minor on the front face after sale. I don't think any are "deep". Some of the scratches have been marked over on the front with a marker or paint it appears. So they are not highly visible.

    I've reviewed the Blue book and think everything is priced fairly based on condition but let me know if I'm in left field on something.

    Ok, I think these pics are pretty representative. You guys have forced me to officially upgrade the amp to a 6 too. After pulling the amp out and reviewing and rereading the official scale I'm confident this is a 6. .... and yet the price remains the same! :)

    You notice the scratches/scuffs on the right on the front face and along the top right edge. Then a couple of minor scratches on the left and one about 5" in from the right where top and face meet.

    Looks clean and the sides are clean as well.

    +1 on the Anthem and the B&K. I am currently running a very similiar setup (Anthem Pre 1L and B&K ST202+) and I couldn't be happier with the sound. The Phillips 6922 tubes make a huge difference. You wont be sorry with either component.

    I love my Anthem PRE2L and with the Muzda and Mullard tube its outstanding.

    Someone is making a mistake not buying this pre-amp already. When I replace mine I am going to have to spend well over a grand to find something better.

    if my gf wasn't getting me the parasound 2100 I would buy your pre in a heart beat. I might try and talk to her and see if I can put the money to "other uses" and pick this one up. hmmm...

    How would I hook up the Anthem to my Pioneer 21txh to use the HT bypass?
    And how exactly does this work?
