So anybody ever done one of these things? It is a big team building/couples building event it appears, and is supposed to rock as well!

I just started seeing a girl, and she wants to go try it out someplace in the USA. :) (I like this girl already!!! Oh ya. :))

ROAD TRIP! :D

I think they look fantastic! 50' in the air, jumping to a swinging hand-hold... oh boy. Bring back the Yosemite climbing days!

We did it a few years ago(dept directors from the facility that i work in), the low course was designed for team building,,the "high course" or ropes as you say,was where one slays their own "personal dragons",, the ZIP wire was a gas.;)
JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

I did one and loved it. Lots of fun and adventurous. It really challenged me to push through some of my fears doing some of the high activities. My favorite was this humongous swing- the first couple seconds feel like a total free-fall and my heart skipped a beat. Enjoy it.

Go to any Marine Corps base and run the obstacle course, plenty of ropes to enjoy. Also a nice "slide for life".

    Seems like fun though.

:eek::eek: Once up there they would to pry me with a crowbar to move.

I once went on the world's steepest tram in Utah, it was a completely glass enclosed tram with a glass floor. When we came down their were grip dents in the wooden hand railings from me squeezing so tightly because I was so freaked out. Can't stand heights!:eek::eek:

However, go for it bro, you're young and vital!:D

Just make sure you're in shape! I did one down in Antigua as part of a shore excursion during a cruise. It kicked my ****!! Combine the fear with the exertion and I was shaking a lot up there ;)

Lots of fun though, enjoy it bro.

I did it in HS. One of our teachers built a mini course on our school grounds. If someone had of told me I'd be climbing 30-50 feet in the air to do a zipwire from one tree to the other (I swore I was gonna hit the tree) then be lowered back down to the ground twirling all the way. I would have said they were crazy.

But I did it! I couldn't undo the rope because my hands were shaking so bad, & he had to lift me off the ground cause my legs couldn't hold me I was dizzy from twirling. But I was on cloud 9 the rest of the day so proud of my accomplishment!

He also took us to rapell in the Quincy Quarry. There were a bunch of soldiers there from Ft Devons. We were doing better then them!

I didn't have a choice, it was either participate in the class or flunk it!

I learned how to tie knots, turn big tomato cans into a grill to fry an egg on, read a compass, etc.

One class we studied dinosaurs for the whole term & went to NY to check out some bones!

I went to a great school & got to do & try more things then I ever would have thought possible.

It was one of the best periods of my whole life!:)

I bet you guys had a blast at the P&L district on Saturday night. I went to the games on Friday night and it was awesome, even with the crappy weather. On a side note ... gotta love KU beating K-State 3 times in one season!!!!

Oh man I would LOVE to see them again in the tournament. I don't think they'll go that far, though ... we'll be playing the other big boy #1 seeds in the Final Four.

How much did you pay for your tickets to the game on Saturday night, btw? I got the tickets on Fri. night at face value since my bud still works for the university ... but tickets to the nosebleeds were going for $75+ so I can only imagine how much near front row seats cost!

At the risk of bringing htis thread back on-topic, we (coaching staff) used to bring our high school's varsity volleyball team to a ropes course in Lake Geneva, WI. It was a lot of fun and that was really just the "low course". Also did the 60-ft rock climbing tower and the zip-line down. Whee!

Too much man... too much. But I am so glad I went. It was quite an experience and I wouldn't trade it for anything now!

But really? Duke? Making it that far? I dunno about that... I have a feeling this tourney will be pretty chock-full of upsets in the first 2 rounds!
