SHM-CD?? Is it like SACD?

There is SACD, but I had never heard of SHM-CD, here is the description (I found this while browsing for music cd's). Is it as good as SACD?
Japanese only SHM pressing. The SHM-CD [Super High Material CD] format features enhanced audio quality through the use of a special polycarbonate plastic. Using a process developed by JVC and Universal Music Japan discovered through the joint companies' research into LCD display manufacturing SHM-CDs feature improved transparency on the data side of the disc allowing for more accurate reading of CD data by the CD player laser head. SHM-CD format CDs are fully compatible with standard CD players. Universal. 2009.

No apology necessary, bro. I tried to pull it up with the search feature and couldn't. I had to find it searching through threads started by me.
That's how I do searches here anymore because I have trouble with the search feature. I usually know the screen name of person who made a thread and just do an advanced search on their name choosing the "threads" option.
