As far as I know...there is no new replacement for the Peerless tweeters.

There are other tweeters produced by Peerless...but that doesn't mean they're the same tweeter at all.

1" High End Silk Dome Tweeter
    Cast aluminum plate

8 ohm is a great replacement for Polk Audio, ADS, Peerless and many more.
4 ohm tweeter is a great replacement for DLK, Domus and more.

We had these custom made for us designed from the original Peerless 810665 tweeter.
Very detailed and clear sound. We have been searching for years trying to find a good replacement for the famous Peerless tweeter and now we finally have it.

    Specs:
    1000-20,000 Hz
    50 Watts RMS
    89 dB
    80mm x 115mm (3.15" x 4.53") Flange
    70mm (2.76") cutout

    These ones?

I think there are some people on here that I've tried them before...and it was deemed that they didn't sound as good as the original Peerless tweets.

If you're patient, you could find a pair of original ones for near the same price.

Might be worth a try though.

They definitely look very similar...but the domes are slightly different.

I am not sure were the reference to people not liking them is, HOWEVER, Mike's comments are the only ones I can recall, and he liked them ALOT, in fact he said he could not tell the difference:

I just got my pair of tweeters today. They look very good, I tried one in my Reynolds Advance A+ speakers today, these speakers have 2 in each, tried the one new one with the old original and I can't tell any difference between the two. I got 2 of them just incase there was going to be any difference between the originals and the new ones, this way I could put one new and one original in each speaker. I will listen to these for some time so this tweeter can have a chance to break-in and I will get back to you guys.

Hi guys, between Christmas and New Years I had a chance to really listen to the replacement Tweeter in my Advance Speakers and I was very impressed with the sound. I have about 30 hours on these since refoaming the drivers and the Peerless replacement. IMO there is no difference between this new tweeter and the originals. The amp that I am using is a Carver M-500t and I gave these speakers a really good workout and the tweeter worked flawlessly. I will be upgrading the X-overs in these here in the near future seeing as the speakers are approaching 30 years old so I should probably upgrade them. The tweeters sound the same even by putting my ear to the original and the new one I can't tell the difference between the two. Hope this will help some people on deciding wheather to get these or not. They have two different ones 4 ohm and 8 ohm the ones that I purchased were the 8 ohm which is what were in the speakers originally. The black finish is a little shinier then the originals and the dome material seems a little thinner then the originals. It was great hearing these speakers again for the first time in 16 years.

I have been considering them, when I go into "upgrade mode"
Curt, can you link us to the "bad' reviews, that you read?

It seems like you are trying to market Peerless tweeter knock offs or whatever instead of helping others or looking for help.
