Hi all,
Just bought Adcom gfa 555 and bi amp with my monitor 70's...Sounds fantastic.

But I have a question, should i turn power switch off or leave it on all the time after listening?

does adcom have auto on/off function?

Many thanks,

I always turn my 545 off.

However, I don't really turn it on/off throughout the day. I usually turn it on about 20-30 minutes before my first listening session of the day, and I leave it on for the rest of the day until I'm done with my final listening session.

I've found that it does sound much better with about a half hour of warm up. It can be a little harsh until it's warmed up properly.

My Adcom goes on in the AM when I'm ready to listen to something and goes off at night before bed.

Thanks all for clearing my question.

I guess the amp and I are going to sleep/wake up at the same time .

I left my 565s on 24/7 as did the previous owner. The fellow who owns them now does the same. Leaving solid state gear powered up definitely extends the life of the product.

People still own amps without tubes;)

I left mine on unless I was going out of town,or if a storm was immenent.YMMV--enjoy.
