Hello,

I am looking to try to complete my system, I recently purchased a set of RTi8's on polkdirect. I also need some more speakers as I also purchased an Onkyo TX-SR805.

I have found a pair of knicked up RTi6's with a grille thats messed up for $100+$50 shipping.

Additionally, newegg has the RTiA1 on sale today for $249. free shipping.

I know the RTi A1 is not as big as the RTi6, what does everyone think???

pick one.

I guess this depends on what your pain threshold is for your budget.

My experience was the opposite of yours - I started with RTi4s and then upgraded to the RTiA3.

If you are asking is there a sonic difference between the smaller of the RTi series (RTi4 and the replacement the RTiA1) and the bigger brother (RTi6 and the replacement the RTiA3) - then yes - there is a noticable sonic difference and 'upgrade' to the bigger.

I'd say, for the prices you've tossed out - go for the RTi6. But that's just me.

If you can afford $249 - then look for a set of RTiA3s on Polk Ebay direct.
