Well, Im not a George Clooney fan but he actually did a real good job in this movie. IMO, it was a good story. It's worth a rental to watch with your significant other. David

Yeah, it's a rental. I enjoyed the movie and it had some fantastic performances in all the major roles, but the denouement, while realistic, wasn't very satisfying. In fact, it's kind of a downer. Definitely worth watching to see Clooney, Farmiga (who I think has been woefully underrated as an actress until recently) and Kendrick at the top of their game though.

Finally saw this last night.

Not sure what all the hype was about.

I found it mundane. A bit of a snoozer at times. I don't think it deserved all those awards and nominations. The story was pedestrian quite predictable too. I knew nothing about the film before I saw it just that so many people told me it was so great and were gobsmacked that I had never viewed it.

Well I did and I was thoroughly unimpressed. I suppose the acting was good but the characters seemed far too formulaic. I guess it's worth a viewing if not for Sam Elliot's epic 'stache then for the brief view of Vera Farmiga's epic keister and right boob.

There's one line in the movie that I love, may not be an exact quote.

You know that moment when you look into somebody's eyes and you can feel them staring at your soul and the whole world goes quiet, just for a second...right, well I don't.

I had poor expectations of it and dragged my feet to rent it. I was entertained but I doubt I'll ever see it again. My problem with the story is that the whole film felt like it should be the introduction to a larger movie or TV season where I come back next week to find out what happens next.
