How to keep sub permanently on?

My PSW 505 is connected to my RXV765 via the LFE cable. Watching certain channels, the subwoofer icon seems to go away and my polk monitors seem to be playing light bass.

Is there a way to reconfigure this to always have my sub output bass?

Thanks!

Don't know about your sub but most subs have a ON switch that can be used over the auto sence on switch. Most likely your AVR db setting for your sub is too low for the sub to wake up or your auto sence has failed.
Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)
Preamp: Joule Electra LA-150 MKII SE
Amp: Wright WPA 50-50 EAT KT88s
    Analog: Marantz TT-15S1 MBS Glider SL| Wright WPP100C Amperex BB 6er5 and 7316 & WPM-100 SUT
    Digital: Mac mini 2.3GHz dual-core i5 8g RAM 1.5 TB HDD Music Server Amarra (memory play) - USB - W4S DAC 2
Cables: Mits S3 IC and Spk cables| PS Audio PCs

The lights of the sub are on... are you saying its getting into sleep mode?

If I switch channels, the sub icon comes back..

also make sure the TV channel has something that has bass going through it or like a 5.1 channel. If the sub is set to auto and doesn't have a signal for awhile it will "sleep" until it has something to wake it up like an explosion ect Also try chaning the cross over setting and the db setting of your sub in the reciver to see what its set at. That way if you don't want ANY bass to come through the mains set it a bit higher and see. Otherwise there may be a switch on the back of the sub to set it to On rather than auto. This way the sub will always be on and you don't have to wait for an explosion or something to wake it up.

Good advice above, you have to remember that most over the air broadcasts are not formatted in DD or 5.1 for that matter. Most are just 2 ch (I think), except for HD channels. If your sub isn't getting any information on what to play, it won't do anything, no matter what setting you have it on. You can try messing with the db setting and crossover settings and etc. but this is the main reason I don't use my AVR for watching TV, unless it is and HD channel broadcasting in 5.1.
