Monster XP-CI

In my setup I have 50' of rather generic 16 AWG speaker wire from my receiver to my speakers that I would like to upgrade. I ran across 100' spool of Monster XP-CI (twisted stuff) for $40. I know how most folks here feel about Monster products. Personally, I have found that they make decent stuff but for a price. However, I really don't know anything about the XP-CI speaker cable. Is this stuff any good or should I pass?

    Lets make it a little easier. Would I better off buying 100' of Belden 5000UE from Blue Jeans or the Monster XP-CI?

    As far as I can tell the XP-CI is 16 AWG while the Belden is significantly thicker at 12 AWG but apparently size isn't the only issue.

    I wouldn't give Monster a dime.

    I would pick up Belden or Canare from BJC.
