Does anyone know anything about the Polk Audio DP-1 DVD player? I am going to purchase a new player and saw this advertised somewhere and would like to find out if it is worth checking into. It is made to go with the Polk audio 7200 system, but you can buy it seperate...I think. If anyone knows anything on this player...please inform me. thanks.

I am also thinking about Yamaha DVD players. If anyone has any comparisons...please tell me about them. I am going to spend around $300.00

I love Polk, but that CD player better have real hairy balls, simply because its hard to just jump into a market segment and expect people to buy.

Even if it does, I'm not sure I would consider it at this time.

Its like Hyundai, coming out with a $30,000 car.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I know at my store you can only sell it with the DS7200. Besides for $200 you're not even getting a progressive scan player. I'd go with the Yamaha,

I was considering buying one from ebay a while back, just for the hell of it. It is a unit made by Marantz, the DV-3100 I think. Supposed to be a pretty good player.
Now that I am way tighter on cash, I hope to buy something with progressive scan, cant do too much more "just for the hell of it" purchases any more! :D Peace. Mike
