Made me giggle a bit. Like they say in the article, if everyone on the internet got the award, what use would it be? I could definitely see **** sites strutting that logo!

I'm still frustrated that Obama won it last year. I don't understand what he did to earn it, rather than being a great orator.

It's the past let it go.

I think it is a relevant statement and the Obama fans knows this win as being questionable as well. (This is not political, he simply did not do anything to win the award). If the Internet is being nominated, then that goes to show further questioned judgment by the committee that declares Nobel nominations.

If a thing can be nominated, let's get more fundamental:

    * The cell phone - put telecommunications in more hands around the world than wired phone ever did - or -

    * The automobile - gave more people significant mobility than any other mode of transport ever did - or to get even more fundamental:

    * The printing press. Knowledge/Info could be easily distributed and it has informed the most people that has ever existed (living and dead).

The Internet is among the latest of truly great things that mankind has figured out.
