I turned on my lcr2400 this morning and I notice the Arthur DAC light doesnt light up as it usually does.So I crack it open and pull this sticky blue cover thingy off of the fuse and pull the fuse carefully out and one end around the glass is loose and comes off.DAMN ,what a pain I think.
It turnes out it is a 1/8 amp 250 volt.Anyone know if I need a slow or fast blow???
And where the heck I can get the odd value?
And where I can get that value in a ceramic version?

IF slo-blo, it should say so on the fuse. Radio Shack has a LARGE ASSORTMENT of fuses.

They sure do have a good selection. At the rate I have been killing fuses I should buy stock in the Shack or start stocking them from Parts Express.

Do not use a 125V fuse. Make sure you get a 250V.

It should say something like 1/8A 250V SB if it's slow-blow.

Otherwise, 1/8A 250V and a wire so thin you need a microscope to see is a fast blo.

Mell shilling over at camelot just sent me an email confirming it is a fast blow.

thuffman03 You should almost never blow a fuse on electronic equipment.
Either it's a case of volume abuse or a serious problem with the gear.

I tend to crank up the system. I have two Sunfire 300's biamped into a set of Carver ALIII's. I have lots of power to put into these speakers. The fuses I am popping are the ones in the speakers.

So the fuses are doing their job. Excellent!

They sure are. Cheaper to swap out a fuse than to replace the speakers.:D

Well it wasnt easy but I found some after looking them up on bing.
Can you believe that 2 of the radio shacks I called didnt have what I needed. And some seller on ebay had them but you had to buy 25 for ten bucks plus 7.99 shipping.Crazy.
But I found what I needed at a place in atlanta GA that sells lighting of all places.10 pack for 1.39+3.57 shipping.
Anyone who needs any let me know.Free of charge since I doubt Ill ever go through them all.
