I used my Outlaw Audio RR2150 to drive it. Didn't blow anything.... the "Speaker" did not get terribly loud but was loud enough that about 20 people in a room could hear it perfectly well above 100hz or so. Impressive considering all the sound was coming from a metal ball.

Very cool. You should add a funnel to the top. :D

And was the tube vented under the ball?

I actually filled the tube halfway full with water and the sound did not change much, which was a surprise.... so I am thinking most of the sound probably came from vibration with the bottom of the plastic tube. I did increase the "cone area" by sticking some metal things (staplers, etc) to the magnet and it did get much louder. Quite an interesting experiment on the very basic fundamentals.

As soon as I do ANYTHING with a graduated cylinder people think its drug related somehow. ITS JUST A TUBE!

I find it odd that you use a graduated cylinder for things frequently enough to actually be bothered by people always thinking it's drug related!
