Great deal Jeff. If you and I didn't already have these we'd be ordering.

It is hard to beat those prices and the Ms will be gone very soon! This is a nice mid-entry level system. And a wonderful intro to Polk speakers. Once you hear these, I guarantee you that you will 'buying' more Polks in the future--and moving up to higher models. There's a reason that Polk is every man/woman's speaker. Value, sound, engineering, and customer service. Polk is the complete package!

    Enjoy...

Man, you should work for Polk Marketing C, lol. I agree though, I fell in love with Polk after my Monitor 70's and if I didn't get a free pair TSi 500's in Seattle, I would be very seriously entertaing the idea of adding two more for my surrounds. At these prices, they are hard to beat, and I agree they will be gone soon. Who knows how many more times Newegg can keep running this deal. If you are on the fence about these, get off and buy them now, while you still can. I am trying so hard not to get that damn 505, I could sell my 125 and get enough to buy it with no out of pocket expenses probably, lol. GRRRR.

Does that Promo code work if you are not already an email subscriber to newegg? It doesn't seem to work for me.

You have to sign up for an account with Newegg in order to use the promo codes, doesn't cost anything though, and you will get E-mail alerts in the future on the deals they run.

I'm really tempted to pick up a PSW505 at that price. Even though I basically have no use whatsoever for it...lol Although I suppose I could play around with integrating it into my 2 channel rig.

LOL, you and me both Curt. I could sell my 125 for around $200ish and be out $30 for the 505. I have been dropping the hint to the wife since I saw the deal, but it's not in the funds right now. Got the money saved up for the new 65" Panny plasma and don't have any spare coin laying around.

I have the 505 bug too.:D I'm just not sure how much difference the 505 will make over the one im using now to be worth the $230. My psw10 sure did sound ok when i had my mon 50s up front but now with the 70's it just doesnt seem to be there.

+1, you need something like a 505 for those M70s since they can reach as LOW as the PSW10...and that is your problem there!

    Congrats...

That is a tough sub to beat for that coin...the new DSW600 is 'better' but it costs more than twice that. You'll find that the 505 is better for HT than music..but it's adequate with music. Heck for that price, 'who' can complain!

    Enjoy!

EXACTLY! for people like me on a budget, i cant go out and just get the best but for what im spending i feel really good about what im getting. polk audio has been stellar for me and with the newegg prices i feel better about spending the money. Since ive never heard anything other than movie theater sound i guess im not experienced but what im hearing from my HT is very satisfying. thanks on the congrats :D

    WELCOME TO CLUB POLK!

That's a 'really' nice system at a great price you've put together there! I run a similar HT system but with the smaller M30s in the back and a Boston sub that hits just a little (not much) lower than the PSW505. And an older Onkyo 805--the behemoth model! I find that Onkyos really like the M-series (and the TSI) and they like the Onkyos.

    Enjoy!

Yes, you have a very nice system for under $2K.
The Monitor 70's are also sound very good with two channel music.
You made a wise choice upgrading your receiver with pre-amp outputs.
Not that the Onkyo TX-SR807 is any slouch, but down the road, you can open up a new world of sound with an external amp.

Lately i have been listening to my music in stereo(2 ch) instead of 7.1 PLIIx Music which was how i was listening before the mon 70s came. And your right these things rock! reminds me of my ADS1290 days long past :D

I have to say that I thought at first that I ordered the 807, but it's the 707.

Any amp in particular that would be good in this setup?

You got two 125's? The 505 is a better sub than the 125, IMHO, but two 125's would be a good doption as well, but setting up dual subs can sometimes be a pain. I would say that the 505 is a better sub than the 125, but two of them may get it on par with the 505.

I agree, I heard my 70's in 2 ch mode hooked up to a beast of a Jungson and a buffer and they sounded amazing.

The 707 is an awesome AVR as well. I would say that the 807 is a better unit overall, but the 707 is very similar and has many of the options that the 807 has. The 707 will do a fine job with your setup, don't sweat it. As for amps, look into Adcom, Rotel, Sunfire, and Emotiva, just to name a few. 200 or so watts will get you started, but that is just a number, not a requirement.

So I have decided inbetween a new Emotiva XPA-5 or a used Adcom 555. The Sunfire TGA-7201 is way out of budget!

Thanks for all the great advice. All is on there way including cables.

You do realize that the Emotiva is a 5 channel amp and the Adcom is a 2 channel, I hope.

You should try to see if anyone has both amps so you can hear them. Either would have enough power for the M70s...but the Emotiva would also run 3 more speakers.
