Am thinking of getting the ff system:

RTiA5 fronts
CSiA6 center
DSW pro 500 sub
FXi A4 surrounds

Will the Denon 1910 drive the above speaker system nicely? My room is about 25 x 18 ft

Looks like you are well on your way to putting together a kicka$$ HT rig. All the speakers you listed are timbre matched to work well with each other, and you even got the big center, lol. The 1910 will do just fine powering them, although the RTiA line like power, the 5's are rated at 20-250W, so you will be fine. Unfortunately the 1910 does not have pre outs for adding an external amp, so that won't be an option for you to get some real power to them. All in all, you made some good choices and you will be pleased with the results. Good luck and welcome to Club Polk.

I was originally looking at the Tsi 400 with its matching line of center and surrounds, but ive read everywhere about how much better the RTi line is.

My dilemma is if the Denon 1910 can drive the RTi A5 so that it sounds better than a TSi 400 driven by the same receiver

The 1910 is more than enough for the A5's. The A5's are not very power hungry at all and the receiver would power them to very loud levels.

    +1,

All Denon AVRs are High Current designs which means that they have good power and dynamics for HT. As Menasor points out above...Rti-A5s are very efficient speakers and the Denon should be able to drive them to reasonably loud volumes.

You also have a decent SUB so that will help fill in the low end and allow the receiver to focus on sound above 80hz...The low frequencies are the most difficult to play loudly--it takes a lot more energy to get 95db at 30hz or lower than to get that at 80hz or above.

Denons are also a bit 'warmer' sounding which is a very 'good' thing for Rti-As as their tweeters can be a tad 'bright' and forward. So the 1910 should be a nice match for your system.

    Enjoy it!

I really like the looks and the features of the Denon '10 series. The A5's are sweet speakers and you will most likely be thrilled with the way that they sound running off the Denon AVR. However, not to beat a dead horse, but think long and hard whether you will want to add an amp in the future. I loved the way my A5's sounded running off of my HK354, but they really woke up when I added my Carver power amp. And the amp is only rated at 80wpc. If you do decide to go with preouts, Harman Kardon is my recommendation. They make excellent preamps and have the most features for the money. But if you have no plans on external power, grab the Denon and enjoy your RTiA system. Welcome to club Polk pal,

Good call on the pre-outs Dom,

I love the sound of Harman Kardons (and Marantz). Denons are not quite as warm but still good with Rtis.

Thanks for all the input, guys. Ive decided to go with the RTi A7 - Denon 2310 combo, with the pre-outs for when I feel like I need an extra amp. Glad to be part of Club Polk!

Wait... The 2310 doesn't have preouts. you need to go up to the 3310 for that. If you want to go with an '09 model, the 2809 has preouts as well. Don't get the 2310 if you're looking for preouts!! With that said, I just got one (2310ci) for my parents and am very impressed with its performance and build quality

If I'm not mistaken the 790 is almost a clone of the 1910....

it looks like you have a set up somewhat similar to the OP. And there's nothing like 'experience' with the same system!
