I just bought some Monitor 30's and Monitor 60's and my question is why is there 4 wire connections on them. Kind of a easy question but I'm just not sure.

For biamping purposes. You can use different amps to power the highs/lows separately. :)

So I am guessing it doesn't matter which ones I plug the wires into other than Negative to Negative and Positive to Positive.

Right, those plates will take care of the dirty work. :)

That said, if you want a nice cheap improvement in sound, replace those plates with some speaker wire, and just use wire to jump both.

I had great success with Radio Shack 12 guage pure stranded copper wire using it as jumpers. Very inexpensive.
