These speaker will be going on my back wall I was wondering how far apart these should be mounted. I read that they should be approx. 2-3 feet above the listner. Do they mean to the bottom of the speaker or to the tweeter? The back wall is 17ft.,open on one side.

I can tell you that if you mount the speakers so that the tweeters are 2-3' above ear level they'll probably get knocked off the wall or cause some severe Dain Bramage! Better measure from the bottom!
