Make sure you get the three burners. Two just won't do.

AH..Nice..but where is the insulated beer holder? Hey man, enjoy your holiday weekend with that bad boy.suds, suds and more suds!

THESE are BBQ'ing machines. You need charcoal to BBQ. Gas grills are nothing more than indoor gas ranges, outside.
Peace Out~:D

Charcoal is nice and all, but gas wins hands-down in my book.
A gas grill can be hot and ready to cook in minutes, and you have MUCH better temp control. If you like smoke, get your soaked woodchips on.
I used charcoal for years, finally switched to gas last summer, admittedly I was a bit reluctant. I find myself grilling 3 to 4 times as often now, and the foods never tasted better.
I saw a commercial on tv, can't remember the brand, but someone has a new gas/charcoal grill out. Apparently it has a drop-in pan, and can convert from gas to coals or vice versa in about 30 seconds. Best of both worlds it seems.
Cheers,

Amen bro. Even propane got to be a hassle. Now I'm full gas baby. Unexhaustable. It's a beautiful thing.

Charcoal is the way to go, stack'em, light'em then dammit drink a cold one (or two) while you wait for them to get hot. I grill 3-4 times a week during the summer. I use the gas grill only when I have to, or its some crap like hot dogs. Get yourself a Weber, total heat control and MUCH better tasting. Wife thinks I am crazy, I have 3 grills, a Weber charcoal, a Big Easy gas grill. and a barrel type charcoal grill when I need the extra grilling room.Dodd - Battery Preamp

Hey Russ your going to love that unit....very similar to the one I just got last fall...I do recommend lava rocks around the burners for even heat and flavor.....Mannnn I'm ready for a steak.
The coolest part about the Chars is the Porcelean(sp) lower rack man nothing sticks to it.

HERE is the combo deal you speak of.
I will never be a gas convert. I love the charcoal too much. I BBQ 2-3 times a week and could never even think about life without charcoal. Today, Linda is heading over to the Beef Palace to pick up some fresh Rib-Eye (seasoned) and some Spicey Sausage which will see charcoal tonight.
If I want to cook over gas, I'll go into the kitchen.

I can't see how the combo unit would work very well, the drop in for charcaol has got to be too close to the meat to cook properly, can you say burnt outside raw inside.Dodd - Battery Preamp

We use gas because of the ease and convenience... as Russ said, turn it on, give it a couple of minutes, and you're good to go. And, it is harder to burn your eyebrows off as long as you duck when you click that clicker.
BUT... our smoker is charcoal. When I'm investing in 25lbs of spare or babyback ribs, a chicken or two, sausages, boneless StLouis ribs, etc, real charcoal is the only way to go. I have smoked on our gas grill, but it just doesn't do the job right even on the lowest setting when you want the meat to slow cook for an afternoon... nor would an electric smoker. I smoked a large venison full-shank roast last summer for a co-worker... to die for.
We fire up a real campfire a few times a month during the spring and fall to cook hot dogs and make smores.
Did you know that if you sprinkle a little gasoline on a tall, large, long pile of leaves and give it a moment before you throw the match on that what you get is essentially a very large bomb, thankfully with only 'oak leaf shrapnel'?? We have 18 mature oaks in our side/back yard, and a shitload of leaves in the fall. Lots of rain last fall made burning harder than usual.
Granted, we live sort of in the country and we and our neighbors tend to stick to our own business, but I was honest-to-god surprised that none of them called the police about the explosion. Rung my bell for a few minutes, and I realize I was lucky, and don't tell my wife, but cool as hell. -
Want an explosion? Strap a road flare to a propane can, light, run real fast and then shoot the can. Sometimes the can becomes a missle, so you gotta duck and cover.

I suppose it doesn't really matter, Ron, *why* you know that.
But if I'm ever at a party at your house, and I'm sloppy drunk, and I hear you say "wanna see something cool?" I'm going to run in the opposite direction. -
I BBQ'ed baby back ribs last night.. Mmmmm Mmmmm GOOD! I dry rub seasoned them over night.. then last night i cooked them for two hours on indirect heat.. ohhh baby! Can you say heaven?
Now I want more.
I too like the convience of propane. Charcoal is fine.. but it's to slow for me.. unless I have all day.. and i'm drinking heavely.. i use the gas grill.
The Big Easy one i'm getting is good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. it has griddle, deep fryer and other attachments.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

I have the Char-Broil Big Easy, and am quite pleased with it so far. I also like charcoal the best, but for ease of quick cooking especially for large groups, the propane is faster. Lil' Smokey Joe, just couldn't compete with the Big Easy,
I was skeptical about the "No Tools" thing but it actually worked. What has bothered me since setup, is that some propane tanks come with different mounting holes, on the top, and the Big Easy needs a specific type. Make sure you exchange tanks for the "3 flange" type tank, not the single flange.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -

Great selection Danger, Ive got one and it cooks evenly with minimal flare ups. This is a big perk especially when ya have a nice buzz going, its like grilling on auto pilot.
Get a cover for it to keep the rain away. -
i got me one of them weaber grills withe a tripple burners. it is nice and good.
