TV dilemma

Well, I just sold my 50" Panasonic X1 plasma and I'm wanting to buy a 46" or 50" S1 or G10/G15 model. The 46" S1 is on sale for $899 plus $60 shipping right now on Newegg and I can get the 46" S1 through 6ave.com for $776 and no shipping. My question for everyone is what should I do? The S and G series have many of the same features, but the G series has internet connectivity, but that's not a deal for me because I have the Panasonic BD60 connected to internet for Vieracast features. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I'm not sure what I should do

I'm actually looking to get a 65" Panny plasma in a few weeks or so. I decided on the TC-P65S1 because of it's price mostly. It got good reviews everywhere I checked and I can get it tax free because of being in the Air Force. I know the S1 has less features, but like you I don't need the extra features on the "better" class. See if you can get your eyes on them both and make your decision based on that. Good luck man.

I'd like to get my eyes on them, but they are nowhere to be found around me because they're all cleared out to make room for the incoming line. Even then, I never trust that all things are equal when going to Best Buy or HH Gregg because I don't know if they have properly set the TV's up properly. I guess that I'm a conspiracy theorist, but I always think that they make the more expensive ones look even better by making the other ones around it look subpar, even though they might not be.

That's too bad that seeing them isn't an option, my local BB still has the one I am looking at buying, atleast they did 2 weeks ago when I was in there to show the wife, lol. Honestly man, go with your gut and get what you need and can afford. Whatever you decide though, get the extended warranty!!!! Gotta protect your investment.

The G10 is the Better TV.. Not buy Alot but the better TV. Has THX mode, Vierra Cast and a few other options that the S1 doesn't have. I think you will find the PQ on the G10 better then the S1. Well at least I did
I had to choose between the S1 58" and the G10 50" and I ended up with the G10 50" because I thought it had a an all round better PQ and at the time the price difference was only $200. I know bigger is better but I just like the G10 PQ that much better.
I got the G10 for $1299 at BB in Dec and they had the S1 58" for $1499.(3) PS3's, Xbox 360, (2) Wii's and Nintendo NES

I have been lookng at getting a 42" G10 but havent pulled the trigger yet. Check out 6ave and use coupon code "Bonusbuy". If I was looking at the right 46" g15 TV it would $1011 with free shipping (Not sure about the tax)

I saw the coupon for 6ave and that's how the 46" S1 would be $776. I'm sure the G series is better, but I don't know if it is $250 better or not. I really wish I could see these TV's side-by-side to compare them.

Sorry, missed that the first time I read the note about you already seeing 6ave. Unfortunately I have not seen the G15 but have seen the G10 and S on the great wall of BB. Liked the G10 better but the setting could have played a factor. Also I was looking at the 42" and probably was influenced by the many reviews . Would like to get the G10 but focusing on a AVR right now. As far as being worth the extra $250???

Try going to CNET.com and putting the model numbers in there to see if they have a "proffesional" review on them. I know they aren't always the best, but just to get some insight on what they thought. They tend to be pretty unbiased on that site, so it may help.

I decided on the Panasonic G10 from Newegg. Would have liked 50", but didn't want to spend the extra $$$ and I really don't need a TV that big. 46" is going to be a perfect fit I think.

I also got a 50" G10 from BB and love it! The 15 series is the same TV only thinner and with worse sound due to thinner speakers. There is a 300+ page thread on these TVs on AVS forum that I have scanned from time to time. AFAIK, the supply of the G10s has just about run out so, if you find one ,grab it quick !!:)

I liked the G10 better than the G15 because of the silver across the bottom. I thought that it is a nice extra touch.
