I currently have db's but got a good deal on MMC (momo) and wanna install them instead of dbs. Nothing is wrong with dbs but momos are a step higher ont he list so maybe i'll get even better sound from them.

According to a bunch of reviews momos are really good in midbass/midrange area but tweeters are just too ruff even when set on minimum.

So did someone here have both of these comps and can gimme a side-to-side comparrision? If not a few more reviews wouln't hurt either :)

Also, if momo's tweets ARE too ruff can i simply replace them with db? Keep in mind that momo's x-over will be used. Specs for momo and dbs differ a bit:
92db for dbs - 90db for momos
100W for dbs - 125W for momos

I quess i'll just have to install them and see for myself.

Is there a break-in period for mmc6500? Or should i expect them to sound the same as they will the first day or two?

I would wait and see if you could get some used SR6500's instead - a much greater upgrade. :)
